To bridge the gap between businesses and consumers

Consumers need a universal platform that will serve as a point of contact for all their interactions with businesses around them, right from product awareness to billing to setup to maintenance to customer service. There is a growing need for remote accessible digitised and consolidated purchase history. Imagine one place where all electronic versions of your receipts, warranty documents and user manuals are simply 'pushed' to after the purchase. Imagine one place where businesses can communicate with you for let's say, placing an order and picking it up at the restaurant, or letting you know when to expect that mail order, or scheduling an appointment for a manicure or even booking a table at a restaurant. Imagine if you can get feeds from your favourite boutique on what's new on their line. Imagine if that place is not your precious personal email inbox. Even better, imagine if it's a web app, or an Android or an iOS app.

To provide context for all business and consumer interactions

Consumers need a platform where they can engage businesses around them. There is a time and place for such engagements which is why email engagement strategies and other forms or intrusive promotional activities are proven to be ineffective and detrimental to the consumer-business relationship simply because emails do not provide the ideal 'context' for commercial interactions. Think of a system where you can receive personalised deals and discounts, or information about a product they might be interested in, all 'in context'. A place where you'll give a damn about what businesses want to tell you. A place where you won't miss out on juicy deals because you didn't feel like going through commercial emails in the middle of a work day. A place where only the relevant deals will come to you.

To deliver a personalised experience to billions of consumers

Consumers need a personalised and uniform experience across all channels of a business. These can be in the form of personalised deals and discounts, context-aware services, easy payment services, personalised shopper engines, and analysis into their own shopping behaviour. They need the world's marketplace in their palms. They need to know if there is a store around them which is selling that new line from Ralph Lauren. They need to know who is selling that new Chanel perfume and for how much. They need to know if someone can service their broken Bose speakers. They need an app which is aware of exactly what they are looking for and does the research work for them.

About Us:

Qbeeko is a stealth mode startup based out of Bangalore, India, working on building a framework that will enable commercial mobile and web application developers embed end-to-end customer experience in their applications.

Job Location: Bangalore, India

The Role:

You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between businesses and billions of consumers by spearheading the development of an efficient, robust and scalable server side application and engineering our REST and SOAP based Web services. You will top that by implementing a winning UI/UX platform. The technology you build will carry your gene as the dominant gene. You will be instrumental in shaping the culture of the company and will function as one of its primary evangelists.

At the end of one year:

You will hold a patent
You will have mastered a host of open source technologies
You will see your friends and family using the technology you create
You will kick ass at foosball
You will be able to chug a can of Beer or Red Bull in a second
You will have learned to play a musical instrument and will be the king of improvisation

Skills we are looking for:

You are an experienced developer with a solid foundation in computer science. You possess a good breadth of algorithmic and data structures knowledge. You are research oriented and are able to grasp concepts and languages quickly. You are a team player who is driven by passion for learning and making a difference.

You also have:

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related fields
Over one year of work experience
Expertise in data structures, databases and algorithms
Extensive knowledge of Java, C++, C or Python
Strong knowledge of web applications, distributed systems and network systems
Expertise in Unix/Linux administration
Strong analytical and communication skills

You will get brownie points if you have:

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Node.js
Knowledge of mobile application development in Android and iOS
Experience in Enterprise Application Integration
Machine learning and Data mining skills
Knowledge of Music theory
Atleast one idea for a perpetual motion machine
Proficiency in foosball or any other indoor games
